Day #18 Tosades Torsades de pointes is associated with long QT syndrome, proarrhythmic response to medications, hypokalemia, and congenital deafness. Treatment includes correcting hypokalemia, withdrawing the offending drugs. If the patient is hemodynamically unstable, give magnesium initially then cardiovert.
