Day #2 “Southwestern Cock” Coccidioidomycosis is a pulmonary fungal infections endemic to the southwestern US which presents as subacute pneumonia or with flulike symptoms. Disseminated infection can cause meningitis, bone lesions, and soft tissue abscesses. Consider IV amphotericin B for severe cases.
